Wednesday Night Prayer Focus!

Pentecost is an important season for the family of God. This is the time of year we commemorate the coming of Holy Spirit. It is also a time when the Jewish people celebrate God giving the Torah on mount Sinai. This is a holiday in celebration of Spirit and Truth. What is also important, is that this is harvest season. In response to the coming of Holy Spirit the Apostle Peter preached his famous sermon and saw 3000 souls saved in a single day(Acts 2:41). As a family we are entering into a time of seeking God’s heart regarding the lost. In the book of Matthew it says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers(Matt 9:37-38).” Again in Matthew it says, “ask and it will given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you(Matt 7:7).” Our response to knowing that the harvest is ready is to pray earnestly. As a family, that is exactly what we plan to do.

For the next six weeks our Wednesday prayer time will be focused on seeking God’s heart for the lost. We are making a concentrated effort to seek until we receive the strategies God has in mind for our community. Individually we only see in part. But as a group we see the larger picture. Come join us every Wednesday at 6:00pm and lets seek God’s heart together. Let us dare to stand boldly before the throne of grace, asking for grace and mercy in our time of need(Heb 4:16). Let us ask God for his resources knowing it is His pleasure to give them to His children. God loves it when his children dwell together in unity(Ps 133:1). So come join us every Wednesday from 6:00pm-7:00pm. I look forward to seeing you there. And I’m excited for what God will do during this season.
