This is the Plaza or main square of Bellavista. Completely flooded. This is where we live.  People are living under plastic sheets or have moved into the town centre. The next stage, if the water keeps rising is that the sewage system will collapse and disease will be rife. Please pray that the rains subside soon…  Some people are much worse off than we are.  We are living in the second floor of our house, no plastic sheets.

Our worship pastor, Brian, was exercising this principle recently.

Last Sunday, after church, I was asked to pray with a guy. He spent the whole service in his wheelchair, but was standing and taking small steps when I approached him. A few of us gathered around him and began to pray for him. He said he could see the presence of God on each of us that was praying.
After we prayed for a bit, he decided to test things out. He began to walk across the front of the sanctuary with the assistance of his wife, and I was walking behind them. While they were walking, I asked if the walking had changed. His wife indicated that his steps were much larger than normal, and that he seemed to be lifting his leg and controlling it more than he has in the past. We walked the length of the sanctuary and back, and his wife indicated that he had been standing and walking longer than he normally does.

We will post updates to his condition as they become available.

The band is ready.

The choir has rehearsed.

The prayer teams are in place.

The churches are gathering.

One of the final steps in our preparations, and possibly the most vital, is the prayer walk scheduled for this weekend. From Friday, March 30 through Sunday, April 1, teams from many of the 1Night churches will be walking through the neighborhoods in Murphy, Wylie, and Sachse. Teams will read a simple blessing over each house, and leave a door hanger with information about the 1Night event.

The prayer walk is a major undertaking, and we need YOU to help make it a success!

Summit Church will be heading out at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 31 to cover our share of the map. We expect to pray over nearly 3000 houses! If you want to be a part of blessing our community, you are welcome to show up to walk and pray with us.

On Wednesday March 21st a portion of our Creative Arts Team went to River of Glory in Plano to teach a class on Prophetic art. During the class we shared how giving someone a picture with a prophetic word could release the power of God’s love and help people to step into the destiny God has for them. As we demonstrated how this could be done, God met several of the people in the room, right at the point where they were struggling and/or looking for an answer, although we had no prior knowledge of this and had picked them at random.

After the class had ended one of the ladies in the room shared with Terry, another woman from the class, that she had been disappointed that she had not received a picture. During their evening service Terry drew her a picture and gave it to her and shared a word with her that touched her.

Two days later at a conference Terry came up to me so excited to share that story and then preceded to give prophetic art to other people during the conference. “Thank you for sharing this with me,” she told me. “I just feel like this is who I am.” She had been speaking prophetically over people, but it had been a stretch. She discovered that creating art and sharing it with others just seemed to fit with her personality and style.

At the Summit, one of our major goals it to teach people how to see the extraordinary – the supernatural – in everyday life.

Judy has been attending the Summit for several months now, and reports that her life is not just different, but better, because of how we have learned to celebrate God’s Presence.

Through the Art, Music, and Prophetic Ministry at The Summit I experienced Inner and Physical healing. I have learned to completely trust God as my provider, healer, my peace and joy.
